Best-Kept Secrets in EBR

One of the best kept secrets in East Baton Rouge is the healthy food that’s been served in EBR for many years. We are part of the health infrastructure. We have gradually changed the students eating habits without their knowledge.  This year they are eating whole wheat bread, whole-wheat pizza, more fresh fruits, vegetables, and they do not know the difference. This will have a lasting effect for the rest of their lives. When you go to super market most of the milk is 1% or 2 %. This is what the students have drinking in the schools for years. This reduced the fat consumption. We have made a difference and continue to make a difference.
